One Day Workshop: Applied Prong Setting
Join us for a hands-on, 2-hour workshop where you'll learn the art of basic prong stone setting.
Using a butane torch, you'll practice soldering while sizing and forming sterling silver to create
your own applied prong setting pendant.
Bring your own cabochon, sea glass, seashell, or any flat-bottomed object (no larger than 1.5"
and no smaller than 0.5") to set as the centerpiece of your pendant. All materials are included,
and no experience is necessary — this workshop is perfect for beginners curious about
metalsmithing and jewelry making. By the end of the workshop, you'll have created a wearable
piece of silver jewelry and the foundational skills to continue exploring stone setting.
